The film tells the story of the origin of the clash between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The script focuses on the 18 year old Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf, "Constantine," "I, Robot"), who discovers ancient glasses from his grandfather, emblazoned with a map that reveals the location of an artifact-key, Energon cube, trying to sell on eBay .
